Hizb 13
Juz 7
Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed. (78) Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did. (79) You have seen many of them establishing friendship with the unbelievers. Vile is what their souls have gained! They have invoked the wrath of God upon themselves and they will live forever in torment. (80) Had they had faith in God, the Prophet, and what was revealed to him, they would not have been the friends of the unbelievers. However, many of them are evil-doers. (81) ۞ Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. (82) And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses. (83) Why should we not believe in God and the truth that has come to us, and be eager that our Lord should admit us with the righteous people?' (84) God will reward them for saying so with gardens where streams flow by, where they will live for ever. This is the recompense of those who do good. (85) And (as for) those who disbelieve and reject Our communications, these are the companions of the flame. (86)
