The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). (1) created the human from a (blood) clot. (2) Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - (3) who taught by the pen, (4) taught man what he did not know. (5) Indeed, surely the human is very insolent (6) because he thinks that he is independent. (7) Verily unto thy Lord is the return. (8) Have you seen the one who prohibits (9) A votary when he turns to his devotions? (10) What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided (11) Or enjoins piety? (12) Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? (13) Does he not know that Allah sees everything? (14) Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- (15) his lying, sinful forelock. (16) Then, let him call his assembly, (17) [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! (18) No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ (19)
Almighty God's Truth.
