The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). (1) created man out of a germ-cell (2) Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - (3) Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. (4) Taught man what he did not know. (5) Nay! man is most surely inordinate, (6) whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: (7) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). (8) What thinkest thou? He who forbids (9) a servant when he prays -- (10) Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, (11) He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! (12) Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, (13) Does he not know that Allah sees everything? (14) Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead (15) a lying, sinful forelock. (16) Then let him call his associates; (17) We will call the guards of hell. (18) No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
