The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created (1) Created man from a clinging substance. (2) Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, (3) who has taught [man] the use of the pen (4) taught Man that he knew not. (5) Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening (6) Because he sees himself self-sufficient. (7) Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. (8) Have you seen the one who prohibits (9) A slave when he prayeth? (10) Have you seen if he was upon guidance (11) Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? (12) Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? (13) Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? (14) Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- (15) his lying, sinful forelock. (16) Then let him call upon his henchmen! (17) We will call the guards of hell. (18) Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
Almighty God's Truth.
