The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. (1) Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). (2) Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, (3) Who taught by the pen, (4) taught man what he did not know. (5) Nay! man is most surely inordinate, (6) That he thinketh himself independent! (7) for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. (8) Have you seen the one who forbids (9) A bondman when he offers the prayer? (10) Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- (11) Or enjoins Righteousness? (12) Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? (13) Did he not realise that Allah is watching? (14) Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead (15) a lying, sinful forelock. (16) Let him call on his associates for help (17) We shall summon the guards of Hell. (18) No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ (19)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
