The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or orders piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
