The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created (1) Created man from an embryo; (2) Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, (3) Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. (4) Hath taught man that which he knew not. (5) No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, (6) that he sees himself sufficed. (7) However, (all things) will return to your Lord. (8) Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, (9) a servant (of Allah) when he prays? (10) Have you seen if he was upon guidance (11) or orders piety? (12) Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? (13) Did he not know that God sees? (14) No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - (15) The lying, sinful forelock - (16) Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), (17) We shall call on the guards of Hell. (18) Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
