The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
