The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
