The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. (1) Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). (2) Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, (3) The One Who taught to write with the pen. (4) He taught the human being what he did not know. (5) And yet, but yet man is rebellious, (6) In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. (7) Indeed, to your Lord is the return. (8) Have you seen one who prevents (9) A bondman of Ours when he prayeth (10) What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided (11) Or he commandeth piety? (12) Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? (13) Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? (14) By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock (15) By the lying, the sinful forelock. (16) Let him call on his associates for help (17) We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). (18) No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ (19)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
