The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), (1) Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). (2) Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, (3) Who taught by the pen, (4) Taught man what he did not know. (5) Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. (6) that he sees himself sufficed. (7) Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. (8) Did you see him who forbids (9) A servant when he prays? (10) Have you seen if he was upon guidance (11) or enjoins true piety? (12) Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? (13) Does he not know that Allah does see? (14) No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, (15) a lying, sinful forelock. (16) So let him now call his gang! (17) We will call the angels of Hell. (18) (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ (19)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
