The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
