The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, (1) Created man from a clot. (2) Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, (3) who taught by the Pen, (4) He taught the human being what he did not know. (5) No! [But] indeed, man transgresses (6) because he thinks that he is independent. (7) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). (8) Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth (9) A slave when he prayeth? (10) Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, (11) or if he commands others to maintain piety!? (12) What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? (13) Does he not know that God sees? (14) Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, (15) A lying, sinning forelock. (16) So let him summon his helpmates; (17) We shall call on the guards of Hell. (18) No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
