The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). (1) He created man from a clot of blood. (2) Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, (3) Who taught by the pen, (4) taught the human what he did not know. (5) Indeed, surely the human is very insolent (6) In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. (7) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). (8) Have you seen the one who forbids (9) A servant when he prays? (10) Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) (11) or is concerned with God-consciousness? (12) What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - (13) Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? (14) Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, (15) the lying, rebellious forehead! (16) Let him call on his associates for help (17) We also shall call the infernal guards. (18) No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
