The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - (1) Createth man from a clot. (2) Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, (3) Who taught (to write) with the pen (4) taught Man that he knew not. (5) Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel (6) because he thinks himself self-sufficient: (7) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). (8) Have you seen one who prevents (9) A servant when he prays? (10) Have you seen if he was upon guidance (11) and enjoins piety? (12) Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? (13) Does he not know that Allah sees? (14) By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock (15) A lying, sinning forelock. (16) and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, (17) We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). (18) Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ (19)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
