The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), (1) Hath created man from a clot! (2) Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, (3) Who taught by the pen - (4) taught man what he did not know. (5) Nay, surely man transgresses; (6) that he sees himself sufficed. (7) Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). (8) Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, (9) A servant when he prays? (10) Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, (11) Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? (12) Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? (13) Does he not realize that God sees him? (14) Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead (15) A lying, sinful forelock! (16) Then let him call his associates; (17) We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! (18) Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
