The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created (1) Createth man from a clot. (2) Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, (3) Who taught by the pen - (4) Taught man that which he knew not. (5) Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening (6) Because he sees himself self-sufficient. (7) Surely to your Lord is your return. (8) Seest thou one who forbids- (9) A votary when he (turns) to pray? (10) Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) (11) and enjoins piety? (12) Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, (13) Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? (14) Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - (15) A lying, sinning forelock. (16) and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, (17) We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! (18) Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ (19)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
