The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, (1) Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: (2) Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, (3) Who teacheth by the pen, (4) Taught man what he knew not. (5) By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. (6) For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. (7) Surely your returning is to your Lord. (8) Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth (9) A bondman of Ours when he prayeth (10) Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? (11) Or he commandeth piety? (12) Have you seen if he denies and turns away - (13) Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? (14) Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. (15) the lying, rebellious forehead! (16) Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): (17) We too would summon the braves of the army. (18) Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ (19)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
