The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
