The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. (1) Created man from a clot. (2) Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One (3) Who teacheth by the pen, (4) He taught the human being what he did not know. (5) And yet, but yet man is rebellious, (6) because he thinks himself self-sufficient: (7) Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. (8) What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids (9) a servant of Ours from prayer? (10) Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- (11) and enjoins piety? (12) What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! (13) Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? (14) Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, (15) a lying, sinful forelock. (16) So let him now call his gang! (17) We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! (18) Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
