The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, (1) Created man from an embryo; (2) Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One (3) Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. (4) Taught man what he knew not. (5) Yet man behaves arrogantly, (6) because he thinks himself self-sufficient: (7) Verily unto thy Lord is the return. (8) Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, (9) a servant when he prays -- (10) Have you considered if he were on the right way, (11) He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! (12) Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? (13) Does he not know that God sees? (14) No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; (15) The lying, sinful forelock - (16) Then let him call his associates; (17) We shall call the guards of Hell. (18) Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ (19)
Almighty God's Truth.
