The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. (1) Created man from an embryo; (2) Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, (3) who taught by the Pen, (4) taught Man that he knew not. (5) And yet, but yet man is rebellious, (6) because he thinks that he is independent. (7) for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. (8) Did you see him who forbids (9) A slave when he prayeth? (10) What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, (11) Or enjoins piety? (12) Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? (13) Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? (14) Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead (15) the lying, rebellious forehead! (16) Then let him call his associates; (17) We shall summon the guards of Hell. (18) Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
