The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created (1) created Man of a blood-clot. (2) Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - (3) Who taught (to write) with the pen (4) taught man what he did not know. (5) Nay, but verily man is rebellious (6) Because he sees himself free from want. (7) for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. (8) Did you see him who forbids (9) a servant of Ours from prayer? (10) Have you thought, if he had been on guidance (11) Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? (12) Have you seen if he denies and turns away - (13) Does he not know that Allah does see? (14) Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, (15) By the lying, the sinful forelock. (16) and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, (17) and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. (18) No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ (19)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
