The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
