The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
