The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
