The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
