The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
