The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
