The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the early hours of the day, (1) and by the night when it covers the world with peace: (2) Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, (3) and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; (4) Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. (5) Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? (6) And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? (7) Did He not find you poor and enrich you? (8) So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. (9) And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. (10) and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. (11)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
