The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, (1) And the night when dark and still, (2) Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. (3) for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! (4) And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. (5) Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? (6) And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? (7) Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? (8) Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. (9) Therefor the beggar drive not away, (10) And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. (11)
Almighty God's Truth.
