The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, (1) and by the night when it covers, (2) your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, (3) And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. (4) Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. (5) Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? (6) Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? (7) And find you in want and make you to be free from want? (8) So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. (9) And repulse not the beggar; (10) and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. (11)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
