The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
