92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, (1) and by the day as it appears radiantly, (2) And Him Who hath created male and female, (3) O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! (4) As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], (5) And affirms goodness, (6) We shall surely ease him to the Easing. (7) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need (8) And who belieth the Good, (9) For him We shall ease the way of adversity, (10) His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. (11) Surely upon Us rests the guidance, (12) And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. (13) I have warned you then about a raging Fire: (14) None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. (15) who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. (16) And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil), (17) one who gives his wealth to become purified, (18) and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, (19) Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. (20) And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. (21)
Almighty God's Truth.
