92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, (1) and by the day when it breaks in its glory, (2) and by that (Power) which created the male and female, (3) Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). (4) So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), (5) and confirms the reward most fair, (6) Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. (7) But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. (8) And rejects the best, (9) for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: (10) his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. (11) Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, (12) And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. (13) Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; (14) [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch (15) Who belieth and turneth away. (16) Far removed from it will be the righteous (17) And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, (18) And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, (19) but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: (20) And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. (21)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
