92 The Night
Al-Layl
Juz 30
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night enshrouding (1) And by the day as it appears in brightness; (2) and by the creation of the male and the female. (3) Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); (4) Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), (5) And testifieth to the Good, (6) We will pave his way to ease. (7) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need (8) and denied the Truth of goodness: (9) Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. (10) And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. (11) Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, (12) and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. (13) Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: (14) in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones (15) Who denies and turns away. (16) He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) (17) He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, (18) They do not expect any reward (19) seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, (20) and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. (21)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
