89 Dawn
Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the dawn; (1) And by ten nights, (2) Consider the multiple and the One! (3) And the night when it departs. (4) Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception? (5) Bethinkest thou not in what wise thy Lord did with the 'A'ad: (6) Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars, (7) whose like has never been created in any other land. (8) And (with) Samood, who hewed out the rocks in the valley, (9) and with Pharaoh of the stakes? (10) Who all waxed exorbitant in the cities, (11) And who then spread a lot of turmoil in them. (12) Therefore your Lord struck them hard with the means of punishment. (13) Most surely your Lord is watching. (14) And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." (15) But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. (16) No indeed, but you show no kindness to the orphan, (17) And urge not on the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor)! (18) and you devour the inheritance greedily, (19) and you love wealth with boundless love! (20) But no; when the earth is ground to powder, (21) when your Lord comes down with the angels, rank upon rank, (22) and when Hell is brought near that Day. On that Day will man understand, but of what avail will that understanding be? (23) He shall say, 'O would that I had forwarded for my life!' (24) But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement, (25) nor will any bind as He binds. (26) [To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, (27) Return to your Lord, well-pleased and well-pleasing Him. (28) Join My servants. (29) Enter then My garden." (30)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
