89 Dawn
Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the dawn; (1) and the ten nights, (2) by the even and the odd, (3) And by oath of the night when it recedes (4) There is indeed in them (the above oaths) sufficient proofs for men of understanding (and that, they should avoid all kinds of sins and disbeliefs, etc.)! (5) Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad - (6) the people of the huge columned city of Eram (7) The like of whom were never created in the realm; (8) (Also consider how He dealt with) the Thamud, who carved their houses out of the rocks in the valley. (9) And with Pharaoh of the tent pegs (10) Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands, (11) and caused much corruption in them: (12) and therefore thy Sustainer let loose upon them a scourge of suffering: (13) Indeed, your Lord is in observation. (14) And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." (15) But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. (16) No indeed, but you show no kindness to the orphan, (17) nor do you urge one another to feed the needy. (18) and you devour the inheritance with greed, (19) and you have a love of wealth which can never be satisfied. (20) Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, (21) And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks, (22) And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him? (23) He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." (24) None can punish as He will punish on that day, (25) And no one binds like He does! (26) O the contented soul! (27) Return to your Lord well-pleased (with your blissful destination), well-pleasing (to your Lord). (28) enter, then, together with My [other true] servants (29) enter My Paradise! (30)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
