Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the daybreak, (1) and ten nights, (2) And by oath of the even and the odd. (3) And by the night when it departs. (4) Is this not a sufficient oath for intelligent people? (5) (Muhammad), consider how your Lord dealt with the tribe of Ad, (6) (The people of) Aram, possessors of lofty buildings, (7) The like of which were not created in the land? (8) And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; (9) And (with) Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)? (10) All of them committed excesses in their lands, (11) And multiplied therein corruption. (12) Then their Lord unloosed upon them the lash of chastisement. (13) your Lord keeps an eye on (all evil-doing people). (14) Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me." (15) But when He tests him by straitening his sustenance, he says: “My Lord has humiliated me.” (16) Not at all but rather you do not honour the orphan. (17) and do not urge one another to feed the poor, (18) And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether, (19) And ye love riches with exceeding love. (20) Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, (21) and [the majesty of] thy Sustainer stands revealed, as well as [the true nature of] the angels; rank upon rank? (22) And on that Day hell will be brought [within sight]; on that Day man will remember [all that he did and failed to do]: but what will that remembrance avail him? (23) He will say: 'Would that I had forwarded (good works) for my life!' (24) But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement, (25) none shall bind as He binds. (26) O thou peaceful soul! (27) "Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him! (28) And enter among My [righteous] servants (29) And enter into My garden. (30)
Almighty God's Truth.
