89 Dawn
Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dawn (1) And the Ten Nights, (2) And the Even and the Odd, (3) Consider the night as it runs its course! (4) Is there in that an oath for a mindful man? (5) Have you not seen what your Lord did to the 'Ad (6) Iram of the pillars, (7) The like of which were not created in the (other) cities; (8) and with the Thamud, who cut out [huge] rocks in the valley, (9) And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes (10) Who terrorised the region, (11) And who then spread a lot of turmoil in them. (12) So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment. (13) Truly your Lord is ever watchful. (14) As for man, whenever his Lord tries him, and honours him, and blesses him, then he says, 'My Lord has honoured me.' (15) But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." (16) But nay, nay, [O men, consider all that you do and fail to do:] you are not generous towards the orphan, (17) or urge one another to feed the destitute? (18) And you readily devour the inheritance with greed. (19) and you love wealth with an ardent love (20) No indeed! When the earth is ground to powder, (21) and [the majesty of] thy Sustainer stands revealed, as well as [the true nature of] the angels; rank upon rank? (22) and Hell is made to appear on that Day, then man will be mindful, but what will being mindful then avail him? (23) He shall say, 'O would that I had forwarded for my life!' (24) For, none can make suffer as He will make suffer [the sinners] on that Day, (25) And no one binds like He does! (26) O the contented soul! (27) Return thou unto thy Sustainer, well-pleased [and] pleasing [Him]: (28) Enter thou among My bondmen! (29) and enter My Paradise.” (30)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
