Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of the (particular) dawn. (1) And the Ten Nights, (2) The multiple and the one, (3) and by the night when it moves on towards daybreak (reward and retribution in the next life is an absolute reality). (4) Is this not a sufficient oath for intelligent people? (5) Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad, (6) the people of the huge columned city of Eram (7) Like whom no one else was born in the cities. (8) And with Thamud who hewed out rocks in the vale, (9) And with Fir'awn, owner of the stakes (10) who transgressed in the countries of the world (11) and exceeded in corruption therein. (12) Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements: (13) indeed, your Lord is ever watchful. (14) And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me. (15) But when He tests him by straitening his sustenance, he says: “My Lord has humiliated me.” (16) But nay, nay, [O men, consider all that you do and fail to do:] you are not generous towards the orphan, (17) Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor, (18) And ye devour heritages with devouring greed. (19) and love the riches, loving them ardently. (20) Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, (21) And thy Lord shall come and the angels, rank on rank. (22) and Hell is made to appear on that Day, then man will be mindful, but what will being mindful then avail him? (23) He will say: would that I had sent before for this life of mine! (24) So on that day, no one punishes like He does! (25) And His bonds will be such as none other can bind. (26) Serene soul, (27) Return thou unto thy Sustainer, well-pleased [and] pleasing [Him]: (28) Enter among My servants (29) "And enter you My Paradise!" (30)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
