89 Dawn
Al-Fajr
Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the dawn, (1) And by oath of ten nights. (2) by the even and the odd, (3) And by the night when it departs. (4) Indeed in that there is an oath for a man of sense. (5) Have you not heard how your Lord dealt with Aad? (6) (And) the tall giants of Iram? (7) the like of whom has never been reared in all the land? (8) And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; (9) And the mighty Pharaoh (10) Those who rebelled in the cities, (11) and exceeded in corruption therein. (12) Therefore thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment. (13) For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower. (14) As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honour and gifts, then he says (puffed up): "My Lord has honoured me." (15) But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. (16) No indeed, but you show no kindness to the orphan, (17) And urge not on the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor)! (18) And you readily devour the inheritance with greed. (19) And ye love wealth with inordinate love! (20) No indeed! When the earth is ground to powder, (21) And your Lord comes with the angels in rows, (22) And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? (23) He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!" (24) So on that day, no one punishes like He does! (25) Nor shall any bind with His bond. (26) 'O soul at peace, (27) Return thou unto thy Sustainer, well-pleased [and] pleasing [Him]: (28) And enter among My [righteous] servants (29) "And enter you My Paradise!" (30)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
