Juz 30
Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Dawn, (1) And the Ten Nights, (2) by the even and the odd, (3) And by oath of the night when it recedes (4) Why is there an oath in this, for the intelligent? (5) Did you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not see (thought) how your Lord dealt with 'Ad (people)? (6) [With] Iram - who had lofty pillars, (7) The like of which were not created in the (other) cities; (8) And the tribe of Thamud, who hewed rocks in the valley. (9) and with Pharaoh of the stakes? (10) who transgressed in the countries of the world (11) And made therein much mischief. (12) Thy Lord unloosed on them a scourge of chastisement; (13) indeed, your Lord is ever watchful. (14) As for man, when his Lord tests him, through honour and blessings, he says, "My Lord has honoured me," (15) But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" (16) Nay! But you treat not the orphans with kindness and generosity (i.e. you neither treat them well, nor give them their exact right of inheritance)! (17) Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor, (18) and you devour the inheritance greedily, (19) and why do you have an excessive love of riches? (20) No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - (21) and (when you find yourself) in the presence of your Lord and the rows and rows of angels, your greed for riches will certainly be of no avail to you. (22) and Gehenna (Hell) is brought near on that Day the human will remember, and how shall the Reminder be for him? (23) He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!" (24) Wherefore on that Day none shall torment with His torment. (25) And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. (26) (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! (27) Return unto thine Lord well pleased and well-pleasing. (28) Enter among My servants (29) Enter thou My Garden! (30)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
