Al-Ghaasheyah
Juz 30
Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? (1) (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, (2) Labouring (hard), weary,- (3) roasting at a scorching fire, (4) Made to drink from a boiling spring. (5) No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit (6) Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. (7) (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, (8) With their endeavour well pleased. (9) in a Garden on high, (10) wherein they shall hear no vain talk. (11) Countless springs will flow therein, (12) and couches raised high, (13) And chosen goblets. (14) well-placed cushions, (15) and rich carpets levelled out. (16) What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? (17) how the heavens are raised up high, (18) And the mountains: how they were fixed? (19) And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? (20) Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) (21) You are not over them a controller. (22) But whoever turns back and denies the truth, (23) him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: (24) To Us is surely their returning; (25) Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. (26)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
