Juz 30
Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); (1) On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, (2) Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). (3) they shall enter a burning Fire (4) They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, (5) No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, (6) Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. (7) However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. (8) with their striving well-pleased, (9) They shall be in a Garden lofty: (10) where they will hear no idle talk. (11) Therein will be a bubbling spring: (12) and couches raised high, (13) and goblets placed ready, (14) cushions ranged, (15) And linen spread out. (16) Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? (17) And the heaven how it has been raised? (18) And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- (19) And the earth: how it was spread out? (20) So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, (21) You are not charged to oversee them. (22) But whoever turns back and disbelieves, (23) Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. (24) Verily, to Us will be their return; (25) Then it will be for Us to call them to account. (26)
Almighty God's Truth.
