Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); (1) Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). (2) Labouring, striving hard. (3) roasting at a scorching Fire (4) Drinking from a boiling spring, (5) No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, (6) which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. (7) (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, (8) Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). (9) In the high empyrean, (10) where they will hear no idle talk, (11) Therein will be a bubbling spring: (12) and couches raised high, (13) And drinking-cups ready placed, (14) and cushions arrayed in rows, (15) and well spread carpets. (16) Have they not looked at how the camel is created, (17) And at the heaven, how it is raised? (18) And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? (19) And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? (20) So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. (21) Thou art not at all a warder over them. (22) But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, (23) will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. (24) To Us they will all return. (25) Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. (26)
Almighty God's Truth.
