Juz 30
Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? (1) [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, (2) labouring, toilworn, (3) They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire (4) given to drink from a boiling spring. (5) they shall have no food but thorns, (6) Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. (7) However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. (8) Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). (9) In a Garden on high, (10) wherein they shall hear no vain talk. (11) There is a stream of running water in it; (12) Therein will be thrones raised high, (13) and prepared goblets, (14) And cushions ranged! (15) and carpets spread out. (16) Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? (17) And the heaven, how it is raised? (18) And at the mountains - how they are erected? (19) And the earth, how it is spread? (20) Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. (21) Thou art not over them a warden. (22) But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve (23) God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. (24) Verily, to Us will be their return; (25) Ours is surely then to reckon with them. (26)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
