The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
