The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, (1) Who creates and proportions, (2) who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; (3) And Who brings forth herbage, (4) then turns it into black stubble. (5) We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, (6) except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- (7) We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. (8) Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, (9) Those who have fear of God will benefit (10) but the reprobates will turn away (11) who will enter the Great Fire, (12) Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. (13) To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] (14) and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. (15) Nay, but you prefer the present life; (16) Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. (17) This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, (18) The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). (19)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
