The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
