The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
