Al-Taareq
Juz 30
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); (1) And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? (2) (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- (3) Over every soul there is a watcher. (4) Let man consider what he was made of: (5) he has been created out of a seminal fluid (6) Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. (7) God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). (8) The Day when secrets will be put on trial, (9) and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! (10) By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. (11) And the earth splitting (with plants); (12) Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): (13) It is no pleasantry. (14) They are cunningly devising, (15) And I am planning a scheme. (16) So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. (17)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
